hi! i'm kaitlyn, a graphic designer + art director based in new york city.

My creative journey started around age 14, when I incessantly tore apart my battered copies of Seventeen and Teen Vogue to peruse the glossy images and flirty typography. I plastered these layouts to my bedroom walls for inspiration and dreamed of working in the magazine industry.

After graduating from Ohio University in 2014, I began my career as an editorial designer with work published in National Geographic, House Beautiful, Veranda and Elle Décor after several design internships. In 2015, I spearheaded the creation and design of the first 3 issues of Den of Geek magazine, and 30,000 copies of each issue were distributed at both New York and San Diego Comic Cons. Now, I'm the digital designer at Moroccanoil, implementing art direction for e-commerce, social media + web-based projects for the beauty brand.

When I'm not designing, I'm probably drinking copious amounts of cold brew, training for my next marathon, pouring over magazines for inspiration or baking sweet potato fries. I love hiking + the outdoors, but also exploring all that city life in NYC has to offer. I'm an avid concert-goer and I might also be the ultimate Jenny Lewis fan.

I'm a proud Ohio University alumna with a BS in Journalism and a BS in Visual Communication. I'm originally from Pittsburgh and now reside in Lower Manhattan.
